The Importance of Grasping Humanity

The Legacy Dialogues will lead a talk about the importance of “grasping the humanity” of black and brown people as one way to work towards a world free of racism. Without a doubt, eliminating racism requires structural, institutional, economic, political, and social changes. It also requires changing hearts and changing minds. What we pose here today is that achieving those changes require empathy and require love.

This dialogue will be sparked by Artist Richard Haynes and Doctor Jocelyn Carter. We will also have a musical performance by The Joy, a group of singers from South Africa.
